Pays de la Nielle et de la Robine

In the third term of my first year at Grisart, I was introduced to professional methods of project development by teacher and renowned photographer, Israel Ariño and it was under his guidance that I worked on the project ‘Pays de la Nielle, du Rabet et de la Robine’. The aim of this project was to show something of the countryside around the village in France where I live and to illustrate how human activity was both reliant on that landscape but had also changed it. The Nielle, the Rabet and the Robine are small rivers and streams that traverse this landscape and without which much human activity, particularly in the past, could not have taken place.

Photography completed between March and May  2018. Scenes depict the countryside in the Corbières region around the village of Coustouge.
